Most human beings would probably assume that building muscle and taking supplements would go together. However when human beings get focused on something like building muscle and looking bigger, they also become more susceptible to any product on the market that can aid them toward their goals. As Paul McCarthy wrote years ago in Physician and Sports Medicine, “Mix one part circumstance with distinct parts ignorance; season with advertising, sprinkle on a demand for that all-vital competitive edge, and you have a recipe for protein supplements”. However are supplements really necessary? Provided you have a proper diet, probably not.
